Dragon Fruit Panna Cotta

I like the smooth and creamy taste and texture of Panna Cotta. It is simple to prepared and can be any flavor.
好喜欢奶冻的味道和口感. 是道蛮简单又好吃的甜点. 把它装饰的美美还是蛮幽雅的甜点呢!
A friend gave me some red dragon fruits. I use some of the dragon fruit to make into this Dragon Fruit Panna Cotta. I like the purple pink colour.

一位朋友给我一点红火龙果. 就想到把它用来做意式奶冻.
我家宝贝们蛮喜欢吃奶冻的. 他们喜欢,浓浓的奶味, 滑滑, 软软又冷冷的口感..= )

I am submitting this post to Aspiring Bakers #24 (October 2012) : Jellies & Puddings hosted by Charmaine of MiMi Bakery House

1 piece vanilla pod
300ml  milk
200ml whipping cream

(peeled and cubed the dragon fruits and blend the dragon fruits with a hand blender, then sieve it)

To do:
  • Split the vanilla pod in half, use a knife to scrape out the seeds. Soak the gelatin leaves in ice water until softened, strain.
  • Mix vanilla seeds with pod, milk and whipping cream. Bring all to boil over low heat, add in sugar and stir well to dissolve. Remove the vanilla pod.
  • Remove from heat. Add in gelatine leaves and stir well to dissolve. Divide the mixture into half. Add the dragon fruit puree into one part and leave one part plain.
