New York Style Cheesecake ~ Bake Along #78 纽约式乳酪蛋糕

I am always late for my submission to Bake Along.. :p But i love to join these girls who is so special to me; Joyce, Lena and Zoe. This is Bake Along 4th Anniversary; Hey this is so cool.,, Bake Along is celebration the 4th year and i believe there will be more more fruitful and fun years to come.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY  'BAKE ALONG' ! This is a New York Style cheesecake. It is a heavy cheesecake. Just read the recipe, afterwards you will agree with me how heavy it is.  I have baked once a  New York CheeseCake  but it uses sour cream in the ingredient. This year my hubby's birthday he requested for a New York cheesecake which he love very much. I didn't want to bake the one that i have baked before but instead i bake this one i saw in  Marcela's blog . (Torta Della Figlia) In her version she uses YOGURT instead of sour cream. Kueh Kodok (Mashed Banana Fritters) 炸香蕉球

Kueh Kodok or Cekodok or cucur is a delicious Malay kueh (bite size snack). It is very common in Malaysia and Brunei. It it sell by small hakwer vendor around the street corner or pasar malam (night market) or pasar tani (weekend market). It is a simple kueh that is deep fried with only a few ingredients. The main ingredient is banana. The banana is mash and  mix with flour, brown sugar and a pinch of salt, then it is deep fried into this yummy fritters. I wanted to try something different for Sam.  He request for chocolate custard fillings and vanilla custard filling with fresh fruits topping. JapChae (Sweet potato starch stir fry with vegetable: 잡채)

I have been wanting to try this Korean dish named 'Japchae' since AFF Korea month. But then i can't get this Korean glass noodles or potato starch noodles (Dangmyeon : 당면)  until last month i saw it in Giant supermarket. Without thinking twice, when i will cook it i grab a bag of this potato starch noodles. Now is the right time to cook and share it in Little Thumb Up !!  'Japchae' is a Korean dish consist of sweet potato starch noodles, vegetables and meat. It is easy to prepare, health and refreshing. It is sweet and savoury with sesame aroma from the sesame oil and the sesame seeds. According to Maangchi stir frying each ingredient separately seems like a lot of labor but this way you will get wonderful taste and color from each of the ingredient.
