Daily bread ~ Japanese Green tea loaf

Green tea.....^^ its my favourite. I like the taste, the smell and the colour it gives.... I like the green tea ice cream, cookies, dessert, custard as long it is green tea i love it........haha really a big fan of green tea.
Share with you my Japanese Green Tea loaf bread.


Ingredients:

420g bread flour
80g plain flour
65g castor sugar
7g salt
10g green tea powder
10g instant yeast
1 egg (A), beaten
250ml U.H.T milk
60g butter

Method:

1) If you are using a bread machine just add milk, egg, sugar, salt, bread flour,
plain flour, green tea powder, butter and lastly make a well in the middle of
the flour and pour in yeast. Use mode 10 if your machine is Noxxa.

2) This is the hand made method: Combine flours, sugar, salt, green tea,
and yeastmix well. Add in egg and milk, mixed until a dough is formed.

3) Lastly, add in butter. Knead slowly until you have a smooth and elastic dough.

4) Leave dough in a clean bowl. Cover with cling foil and leave to rise in a warm
place for 45 minutes or double it size.


5) This part is for both hand made and bread machine user.
Divide dough into 4 portions. Roll into round. Leave it for
10 minutes for easy rolling, later. Roll out the dough and roll
back into a loaf.


6) Place two dough into a loaf pan together or one loaf into a loaf pan.
Leave to rise again for 45 minutes.
Above it the result after 45 minutes risen.



7) Bake in a preheated oven at 190C for 25-30 minutes.

    I have never try substitute butter with olive oil.
    But you can try. Just need to add a little more flour as olive oil is liquid and butter is a bit solid.

Old Fashion Kopi Tiam Bread Loaf 古早咖啡店面包

This is an old fashion kopi tiam (coffee shop) bread loaf. It has coarse texture but it is so soft and nice! This coarse texture kind of bread bring back many child hood memories! We use to have this type of bread in the local coffee shop. They will take two pieces of bread, make into a kaya butter sandwich, ( a piece spread with butter and the other piece spread with Kaya.) Chewy Korean Mochi Bread ... (QQ 韩式麻磁面包)

I have been wanted to bake this Korean mochi bread for quite sometimes but did not take any action until a friend of mine ask about it. She sent me a pack of this Korean mochi bread premix and ask me to try. Thanks to LK for sending me the pack of Korean mochi bread premix. This premix is not cheap, a pack of 550g cost rm12.50.  本想老早就来玩玩这麻磁面包担是就一直没行动 :p 友LK拿一包韩式QQ面包预拌粉给我,就赶快试一试吧!! Nice looking little buns, my second ask me "mummy, its this some kind of DINO eggs??"
