Granola?? It is nice?? It is rough like eating pieces of cardboard? What is it anywhere mum?? My boys were asking me this when i am preparing this. I guess kids grow up in Asian have less chances taking whole grains compare to those in the west. Does your kids facing this too?? or it is just mine =p
Not anymore, i am making my own granola. This granola is so versatile. Be it for breakfast on milk or having it on its own as snack. My boys get the chance to learn how to eat this and they enjoy snacking on it now. They love it on yogurt and they like it as pudding or simple parfait like this

格兰诺拉麦片?? 是什么来得?是粗粮吗? 好吃吗?这是我家的宝贝问的。。在亚洲成长的孩子比较少接触粗粮或麦食吧! 不晓得您家的宝贝是否也是如此呢? 格兰诺拉麦片其实很好吃又健康。里面包含着燕麦,坚果(这里我用了山胡桃,南瓜籽,芝麻)果干(我用了葡萄干,蔓越莓干)还加了蜂蜜,黄糖和少许的盐。把这些材料都拌均,烤香就是自制机的格兰诺拉麦片(Granola)
Homemade Granola (Annabel's Granola)
Recipe adapted from Annabel's Kitchen-My first cookbook
makes 6-8 portions
Ingredients:
175 g rolled oats
70 g coarsely chopped pecan
1/4 tsp salt
60 g brown sugar
2 Tbsp canola oil, plus extra for greasing
4 Tbsp honey
50 g raisin
25 g cranberries
15 g pumpkin seeds
10 g sesame seeds
To Do:
- Preheat oven to 170C. Put oats, pecans, salt and brown sugar into a large bowl. Add in oil and honey and mix everything well.
- Spread out on a lightly greased baking sheet. Bake for 35-40 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes to break the mixture up into small pieces. The granola should be light golden brown and crisp.
- Cooled the granola completely before storing it in a airtight storage jar. To serve, sprinkle a generous tablespoon onto yogurt or layer it in a glass with yogurt and berry fruits ..here (low-fat granola parfait)
自制格兰诺拉麦片 (Annabel's 格兰诺拉麦片)

做 6-8人份
材料:
175 克 燕麦
70 克 山胡桃 (切丁)
1/4 茶匙 盐
60 克 黄糖
2 大匙 植物油
4 大匙 蜂蜜
50 克 葡萄干
25 克 蔓越莓干
15 克 南瓜籽
10 克 白芝麻
做法:
- 预热烤箱170度。 把燕麦,山胡桃,盐和黄糖放入一支大的碗。 加入蜂蜜和植物油,拌均匀。
- 烤盆铺上烘焙纸,抹上层 油。把拌均的材料都铺平在烤盆上。烤35-40分钟,每10分钟,翻搅便让燕麦和其他材料可以松开,均匀的烤至香脆和金黄色。
- 待凉后便可收在紧密的玻璃罐里。
- 享用时可洒一大匙到优格上或做成简单的帕菲(parfait)这里 (低脂优格帕菲)
